WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Artur and Mia invite their guests to celebrate with them in festive cocktail attire. Have fun!
Where will you stay?
Artur and Mia are so thrilled that many of you are traveling to celebrate in person with them in Portland, Oregon. Picking a place to stay can be tricky, so here's a list of places that have the couple's stamp of approval!
-
McMenamins Kennedy School is close to the couple's venue and such a unique stay! This hotel was built in an old elementary school and has a host of amenities such as bars, a restaurant, a soaking pool, and a movie theater. The Alberta Arts District is nearby, and a must-visit for non-Portland guests!
-
Another great option is to book an Airbnb in the Alberta Arts District. Staying here will put you close to Mildred Hall, shopping, and plenty of coffee and food. Check out a few options below!
• The Heart of Alberta Arts - New Private Home
• Contactless Clean Private Treetop Studio
-
Should you choose to stay downtown, Artur and Mia recommend the Ace Hotel. There's a Stumptown Coffee Roaster in the lobby, need we say more?
What should I do in Portland?
Eat + Drink
Food and drink in Portland is something that Artur and Mia feel very, very strongly about. Between the two of them, they've drunk quite a bit of coffee, and eaten quite a bit of pastries. Some of their must-visits are listed below!
-
A North Portland staple. Artur orders the taquitors dorados and Mia orders the al pastor enchiladas verdes. Artur won’t order anything from anywhere without looking at pictures, so visit their Instagram!
-
This is a regular weekend visit for Artur and Mia. Artur orders an iced latte and a ham and gruyere croissant. Mia orders a cappuccino or cortado, and a buckwheat fruit loaf.
-
If you visit Hat Yai on Killingsworth, you will not be disappointed. The whole menu is delicious, their Thai fried chicken is Hat Yai's specialty, and rightly so. Artur and Mia order the Hat Yai for 2, a pandan gin and tonic, and a Thai iced tea.
-
Nico’s Ice Cream was one of the first places Artur and Mia visited when they first moved to Portland. It's also one of the places that they will always bring their guests. They serve four amazing fruit flavors that they blend to order, New Zealand style. If berries aren't your jam, make sure to visit on tropical Thursdays for pineapple, coconut, and banana.
A Bit of Shopping
Did you leave a little room in your suitcase? Artur and Mia think that a must-do in any new city is to stroll and window shop with a coffee in hand. If you feel the same way, visit the places below!
-
Powell’s City of Books is the largest new and used bookstore in the world. The store occupies one whole city block and covers three stories. Find Artur in the photography section, and Mia in the romance aisle.
-
If you stick around for a day or two after the wedding, spend your Saturday at the Portland Farmer Market. Start with a breakfast burrito, and wander the stalls!
-
Portland is full of streets made for wandering and perusing. Hawthorne is one of those great streets. Feeling a bit thrifty? Stop at a few of the couple’s favorite spots.
• Flower

Be One with Nature
If coffee, pastries, and general window shopping doesn't feel like quite your thing, there are plenty of outdoor activities to partake in!
-
Did you bring your tennis shoes? Visit Oregon’s tallest waterfall. You can take in the view from the parking lot, or tackle the moderate difficulty 2.2 mile hike up to the top of the falls.
-
The Oregon Zoo is located 2 miles outside of downtown Portland and is a lovely family-friendly excursion. Find Artur in the rainforest section, and find Mia not at the zoo.
-
If you need more animal-centric activities during your wedding weekend, visit Topaz Farms. Get up close with goats, pigs, and chickens. Enjoy a beer and a bratwurst at the same time!
-
Mt. Tabor Park is another great spot to stretch your legs. There are plenty of hiking trails to wind your way around and a great view of Portland at the top.
